Yellowstone National Park trails are scheduled to be open on December 19 thru March 11, 2007. Remember that the avalanche hazard presented on the Snow / Avalanche page is for backcountry areas--not groomed trails.
Cross Country Ski Trail Conditions:
Rendezvous Ski Trails system in West Yellowstone is open, and trails are currently being groomed. Click on the blue link at left for trail conditions. These trails are among the best in the world for groomed track and skating lanes. National and International teams come here to train and compete, so--it is a GREAT place to ski.
Harriman State Park (Idaho) cross-country, skate, and ski trails---for current trail condition information, call the Park at 208-558-7368.
Caribou-Targhee National Forest--Ashton Ranger District trails--Bear Gulch, Fall River Ridge, and Buffalo-Brimstone----for current trail conditions, call the District at 652-7442.
